Current Vacancies:

Our client in Lebanon is looking for a Senior Clearing and Logistics Specialist for its branch in Angola on a full-time basis. The position will start by working offshore being based in Beirut, Lebanon for the first 6 months and then the move to Angola branch. Ideally, the candidate should have 8 – 10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors degree in Business or related (a major in Logistics and transport is a plus).

Some of the tasks include the following:

  • Prepare all required import permits and follow up throughout the process until issuance of the relevant documents
  • Coordinate with the banks prior to initiating the customs clearance process
  • Follow up on all shipments under customs clearance and coordinate with the warehouses on deliveries
  • Liaise with shipping lines, clearing agents, banks, transporters throughout the customs clearance and delivery processes to ensure the swift release and delivery of shipments to company warehouses
  • Review and check customs declarations to confirm the customs duties and proceed with payments accordingly
  • Apply for demurrage, deposit and storage refunds and ensure the timely collection of the payments from the shipping lines and port operators
  • Resolve problems that might arise during the customs clearance process with any of the parties involved
  • Prepare performance reports to measure efficiency and detect bottle necks throughout the processes and suggest improvement actions
  • Stay informed about changes in import and customs regulations and procedures and notify the various parties accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with all import regulations to avoid any problems with government agencies
  • Coordinate with the various departments in the company on the status of their orders
  • Supervise the team members to ensure the successful execution of their daily tasks

Our client in Saida – South of Lebanon, is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Officer on a full-time basis. Ideally, the candidate should have at least five years of relevant work experience in:

  • Procurement (suppliers sourcing, negotiations and vendor selection)
  • Logistics (offshore and cross shipments of large volumes to Africa)

Ideally, the candidate should have a:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or related
  • Certification in Supply Chain (highly desirable)

Preference will be given for MALE candidates due to 50% travel time to Africa, Asia and sometimes Europe.

The primary role is to make immediate contributions to enhancing the clients’ long-term competitive position and performance. To do this, the trainer is involved in designing and delivering highly interactive and first-class training sessions to professional managers and senior-level executives. The focus will be on a range of topics mainly associated with:

  • Inbound Logistics and Transportation
  • Shipping and International Trade
  • Warehousing and Inventory Management
  • Outbound Logistics and Physical Distribution

Compulsory Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in Logistics management or related
  • A post-graduate related certification
  • Minimum of 12 years prior working experience in the Logistics function
  • Prior experience in delivering training sessions
  • In-depth knowledge about the topics to be facilitated
  • Fluency in both English & Arabic
